sequencing technique
definition:
By definition, a sequence is a serial
arrangement in which things follow in logical order or a recurrent pattern.
Photo sequencing is actually stitching multiple images together and it is a
form of time-lapse photography. A change in an object’s position over time is
being displayed and it only works when the object moves across a static
background.
how to achieve this:
To do this you need to have a tripod, high shutter speed, camera on manual settings, 200-400 ISO and a movable subject. to take the photos for a sequence, you first need a high shutter speed and a ISO of around 200-400 to make sure the photos are clear and not blurred. keep the background the same by not moving the tripod.

for these photos i used a Nikon D7100 with a zoom lens. although i used a tripod, i was going to be taking photos of movement which meant i needed an ISO of 400, an aperture of F5 and a shutter speed of 1/1250. with these settings, the photos came out well and were clear enough to use.
how the final images were made
to create this image, i used Photoshop to layer each photo on top of the other and used a layer mask for each which i could invert and paint over in the opposite colour which let through part of the layer underneath. this meant i could keep the original background the same and let through each stage of Sam walking away in the photos.

how to improve (if it goes wrong)
i am mostly pleased with the end result of this technique, the photos came out clear and were easily layered on top each other, however, the furthest version of Sam was not meant to be transparent which i was unable to fix in Photoshop, although this could be interpreted as Sam walking away out of the shot and into the distance.if i were to do this shoot again, i would improve it by looking into what the issue was with the lat layer in Photoshop and see if thee was a way of fixing it that i didn't try, overall though, i am pleased with how this image turned out.
